Lincoln Michel's most recent novel is Metallic Realms (Atria Books). He is also the author of the collection Upright Beasts (Coffee House Press) and the novel The Body Scout (Orbit), which was named one of the ten best SFF books of 2021 by The New York Times and one of the fifty best science fiction books of all time by Esquire. His fiction appears in The Paris Review, Granta, McSweeney's, The Baffler, and Lightspeed. He writes the weekly writing and publishing newsletter Counter Craft.
